Yes! We are proud to be one of the only places in the country where the “decades vanish” and you can still experience traditional mineral baths. At The Armours Hotel & Spa, you can soak in the legendary “Black Water” just as travelers did a century ago. It’s the centerpiece of our “Veranda Culture”—a restorative way to slow down, disconnect from your phone, and reconnect with a historic sense of wellness.

Downtown Lafayette & Red Boiling Springs are truly “four-season” destinations, but many visitors love the “Vintage Spirit” of our spring and fall. In the spring, places like Lone Hickory Farm and Winding Stairs Nature Park are in full bloom, perfect for hiking and picking. In the fall, our rolling hills turn vibrant shades of orange and gold—the ideal backdrop for a slow drive to Red Boiling Springs or a night at the Macon Drive-In. No matter when you arrive, the rhythm of the county is always 0% city-slicker and 100% welcoming.
